Wayne Guerra, MD, MBA, serves as a guest lecturer at Daniels College of Business, focusing on innovation and startup capital for executive MBA and MBA students. As co-founder of Garde Systems LLC, Wayne Guerra developed products to enhance the safety of EMS patient transport, including the BuckleGarde. Guerra is also a board member of Aspen Academy, a leader in innovative education, and previously served on the board of Mount Saint Vincent, a treatment center for children facing severe behavioral challenges. Additional experience includes roles as Entrepreneur in Residence at CU Innovations, advisor positions at Sopris Health and Aetna, and co-founder and Chief Medical Officer of iTriage, a mobile healthcare tool. Wayne Guerra's extensive background in emergency medicine includes service on the executive board of Emergency Physicians at Porter Hospital and as Medical Director for multiple EMS agencies, notably developing a sepsis identification program. Wayne Guerra holds an MBA from the University of Denver and a B.S. and Medical Degree from UCLA, with additional training from Denver Health and the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus.
