Alex Laprade

Alex Laprade is an experienced engineer with a strong background in research and development across multiple sectors. Currently serving as an NPI Engineer at Aspen Aerogels since December 2021, Alex focuses on new product introductions related to electric vehicles and battery thermal management. Prior to this role, Alex worked as a Mechanical Engineer in R&D at Johnson Controls, specializing in fire suppression systems, and as an R&D Engineer at Boston Scientific, where responsibilities included test method development and manufacturing statistical analysis for small medical devices. Alex holds a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute, earned in 2023, and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from The Catholic University of America, obtained in 2016.
