Timothy Hsu, DMA has a diverse work experience in the music industry. Timothy currently holds the position of Director of Housing and Music Education and Outreach Admin at the Aspen Music Festival and School since April 2022. Previously, they served as the Director and Conductor of the Pueblo Youth Symphony from August 2021 to April 2022. Prior to that, they were the Assistant Concertmaster at the Chamber Orchestra of the Springs from September 2018 to April 2022. Timothy co-founded the Southern Colorado Adventure Music Camp in August 2016 and has been actively involved in the camp since then. Timothy also served as the Musician Representative at the Pueblo Symphony Orchestra from August 2016 to April 2022. In addition, they worked as a Lecturer at Colorado State University-Pueblo from August 2015 to April 2022 and held the position of Concertmaster at the Pueblo Symphony during the same period. Prior to their time in Colorado, Timothy worked as a TA at The University of Iowa from August 2012 to May 2015. Timothy also gained experience as a Violin Instructor at the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra OrchKids from September 2011 to July 2012 and as a Violin Teacher at ARTI-ST Music from July 2011 to June 2012.
Timothy Hsu, DMA, has a strong educational background in music performance. Timothy completed their Bachelor's degree in Violin Performance at the University of Central Oklahoma from 2005 to 2008. Following that, they pursued a Master's of Music degree in Music Performance, General at The Peabody Institute of The Johns Hopkins University from 2009 to 2011. Hsu then continued their education at the University of Iowa, where they obtained their Doctor of Musical Arts degree in Music Performance and Pedagogy from 2012 to 2017.
