Bridget Kohlnhofer

Bridget Kohlnhofer has an extensive work experience in various scientific roles. Bridget is currently working as a Senior Scientist Manager at Aspen Neuroscience, Inc. since April 2022. Before that, they worked at Takeda as a Senior Scientist from January 2022 to April 2022 and as a Scientist II from June 2020 to January 2022. Prior to Takeda, they were a Postdoctoral Fellow at The Janssen Pharmaceutical Companies of Johnson & Johnson from June 2018 to June 2020. Bridget also worked as a Postdoctoral Fellow in Lawrence Goldstein's Laboratory at the University of California, San Diego from March 2016 to June 2018, where they focused on modeling late-onset Alzheimer's disease using human induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs). Bridget conducted research on the effects of GWAS identified late-onset Alzheimer's disease risk variants on neurons, astrocytes, and microglia. Earlier in their career, Bridget worked as a PhD Graduate Student in Dr. Michele Battle's Laboratory at the Medical College of Wisconsin from July 2010 to February 2016 and as an Undergraduate Researcher in Dr. Scott Cooper's Laboratory at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse from January 2008 to May 2010.

Bridget Kohlnhofer obtained their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Cellular and Molecular Biology and Chemistry from the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse, where they studied from 2006 to 2010. Bridget then pursued further education and completed a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Cell Biology at the Medical College of Wisconsin between the years 2010 and 2016.
