Jeanne Loring's work experience includes various roles and positions in the field of stem cell research and regenerative medicine.

Jeanne started their career at Arcos BioSciences in 1998, where they founded the company and focused on deriving human embryonic stem cell lines. After several mergers, the company evolved into Novocell.

In 2004, Loring became the Co-Director of the Stem Cell Research Center at The Burnham Institute for Medical Research. Jeanne held this position until 2007 when they became an Adjunct Professor of Human Genetics at Sanford Burnham Prebys Medical Discovery Institute.

In 2007, Loring joined Scripps Research as a Professor in the Department of Molecular Medicine. Jeanne'sresearch focused on neural development and disease, genomics, and epigenetics. In June 2019, they became a Professor Emeritus at Scripps Research but remained on the faculty.

In 2018, Loring also founded Aspen Neuroscience and currently serves as the Founder, Chief Science Officer, and Scientific Advisor. Aspen Neuroscience aims to translate research into regenerative medicine for neurological diseases such as Parkinson's.

Loring has also held roles as a Senior Science Advisor for the National Stem Cell Foundation since 2021 and a Board Member and Scientific Director for the Summit for Stem Cell Foundation from 2012 to 2022.

Additionally, they served on the Merck Bioethics Advisory Panel and Ethics Advisory Panel from 2011, and as a Research Fellow at the San Diego Zoo Global since 2015.

Loring has also been involved in academia, serving as an Adjunct Professor in the Department of Reproductive Medicine at the University of California, San Diego School of Medicine from 2010 to 2016.

Jeanne Loring's education history is as follows: From 1973 to 1979, they attended the University of Oregon, where they earned a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Developmental Neurobiology. During the same period, they also attended the University of Washington and obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Molecular Biology.
