Kay Aarrestad has over 35 years of experience in the healthcare industry. Kay began their career as a Legal Assistant at Van Drake & Van Drake, Ltd. in 1984. From 1987 to 1996, they held various positions at Diversified Pharmaceutical Services. In 1996, they became a Formulary Compliance Specialist at ValueRx. In 1997, they moved to UnitedHealthcare as a Formulary Compliance Manager. In 1999, they joined Medco as a Sr. Manager of Product Development and Business Support and Formulary Compliance Manager. In 2007, they moved to Express Scripts as the Director of Channel Management (UHG Account Team). In 2013, they joined Genoa Healthcare (a UnitedHealth Group Company) as the Director of Operations and Director of Account Management, where they were responsible for client management and ensuring contractual obligations were met. In 2021, they joined Aspen RxHealth as the Director of Customer Experience.

Kay Aarrestad has completed general courses at Concordia University-St. Paul, Normandale Community College, and St. Cloud Business College.
