Mike Smith has a long and varied work history. Mike started their career at HP in 1990 as a Manager/Director of IT, and then moved to HP/NSD in 1996 as a Sr. Manager of Technical Marketing. In 2000, they returned to HP as a Sr. Consulting Director of Product and Services Growth in the Enterprise Servers, Storage and Networking division, then went on to become the VP Quality & GM of the Customer Experience Technology Division in the Business Critical Servers division. In 2010, they founded Sequoia Cloud Solutions and served as the Founder & General Manager until 2015 when it was acquired by Presidio. In the same year, they also joined the Sequoia Union High School District as a Board Member and Consultant for the Woodside High School Green Academy. In 2019, they became an Adjunct Professor at Santa Clara University Leavey School of Business. In 2020, they joined WhitespaceX as an Advisor and is currently the Founder and President/COO of Aspenify, Inc., a software and services company dedicated to customer, partner, and employee success.
Mike Smith obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Computer Applications and Economics from the University of Notre Dame in 1984. Mike then attended the Pepperdine Graziadio Business School, where they obtained a Masters of Science in Technology Management in 1996. Prior to that, they attended Pullman High. In 2019, they obtained a Leadership Circle Profile from The Leadership Circle.
