Asphalt Green
David Ludwig has a diverse work experience in various roles and organizations. David worked at Asphalt Green as the Senior Director of Community Programs and Government Affairs since 2009. David was also a Co-Founder & Advisor at Chuck since 2020. Previously, they held the role of Sr. Program Director at Sports & Arts in Schools Foundation from 2005 to 2008. Before that, they worked at Mission Science Workshop as the National Program Coordinator and Local Instructor from 2000 to 2004.
David Ludwig completed their Bachelor's degree in Anthropology with a focus on Philosophy from Ithaca College between 1995 and 1999. Later, from 2008 to 2011, they pursued and obtained a Master's degree in Urban Planning from Hunter College.

Asphalt Green is a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing all New Yorkers with the opportunity to achieve healthful living through sports and fitness. A Manhattan fixture for nearly forty years, Asphalt Green, with its expert instructors, coaches, and staff, offers high-quality sports, swim, and fitness instruction and programs for children and adults. It’s free community outreach programs bring these services to children throughout Queens, Brooklyn, and the Bronx. Asphalt Green offers a diverse range of programs that cater to individuals of all skill levels and backgrounds, from public school students first learning to swim, to teens playing recreational sports in our free community leagues, to elite athletes training for Ironman races or triathlons.
