Sandy Ball, SPHR, SHRM-SCP has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning over several companies and roles. Most recently, Sandy served as the Chief People Officer at Aspida, where they oversaw various functions including HR strategy, marketing, facilities, learning and development, communications, social media, and community outreach. At Aspida, Sandy successfully facilitated significant business change and created a high engagement culture.
Prior to Aspida, Sandy worked at Genworth- US Life Company as the Vice President of Human Resources, where they were a strategic business partner to the President of Life and Annuities and the President of Distribution and Marketing. They led a team responsible for delivering on the HR value proposition. They also held the role of HR Director, leading the HR team responsible for the employee and retail sales distribution channels and marketing organization.
Before joining Genworth- US Life Company, Sandy worked at Genworth Financial as the Director of Human Resources HQ, building and maintaining critical relationships with company officers to develop and drive HR strategy within their organizations. Sandy also held the role of Manager of Human Resources at the Retirement & Protection business unit, where they led HR processes for various functions within the unit.
Earlier in their career, Sandy worked at GE Financial Assurance as the Corporate University Learning Center Leader, responsible for strategic planning, organizational needs analysis, solution development, and program implementation. They also worked at GE Capital as a Training Specialist, where they designed and delivered leadership development programs and oversaw training execution.
Sandy's work experience started at the American Red Cross as a Training Manager, where they served for five years.

After that, in 1996, they enrolled at The George Washington University, where they obtained a Master of Arts (MA) degree in Human Resource Development, completing their studies in 1998.
Later on, in 2006, Sandy pursued further professional development by attending the Society of Human Resource Management. Through this organization, they achieved the Senior Professional Human Resource Management (SPHR) certification. This certification is not associated with a specific educational institution but demonstrates a high level of expertise in the field.
