Ya Liu (Yolanda)

Ya (Yolanda) Liu has extensive work experience in various finance and accounting roles. Ya (Yolanda) began their career as an Instructor at HeNan University of Science and Technology in China. Ya (Yolanda) then worked as a Tax Specialist at Robinson & Fairy, CPAs and H & R Block. Ya (Yolanda) later became a Financial Accountant at General Parts International.

In 2007, Ya joined Blue Cross Blue Shield of North Carolina where they held multiple roles, including Statutory Accountant and CPA, Investment Accountant. Ya (Yolanda) was responsible for investment accounting and reporting, financial statement preparation, and process improvement.

Ya (Yolanda) then worked as an Investment Accounting Manager at National General Insurance Company, where they oversaw investment reporting and reconciliation for multiple insurance subsidiaries.

Ya then joined North Carolina Mutual Life Insurance Company as Manager of Financial Reporting and Analysis, where they supervised financial reporting activities.

In 2016, Ya worked as a Business Consultant at Rausch Advisory Services LLC, focusing on accounting and reporting for private equity and venture capital funds.

Currently, they serve as the Director of Investment Accounting at Aspida, where they manage investment accounting for multiple insurance companies and leads a team.

Throughout their career, Ya has demonstrated expertise in investment accounting, financial reporting, process improvement, and team management.

Ya (Yolanda) Liu has a diverse education history. In 1988, they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Law from Zhengzhou University. Ya (Yolanda) later obtained a Master certification in Business Law from Wuhan University in 1996. From 1997 to 2000, they pursued CPA certification at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. In 2008, Ya attended North Carolina State University, where they engaged in Accounting Research. Additionally, Ya attended various specialized workshops, including the Booke Seminar in October 2013, which focused on Accounting and Financial Reporting for Life Insurance Companies. In June 2012, they participated in the Investment Accounting and Reporting Workshop, focusing on Investment Accounting/Reporting for Statutory Statements. Lastly, Ya completed PFS Training in Impromptu 2010.
