Alvaro Varela

Alvaro Varela has been working in the engineering field since 2011. Alvaro began as a Student Researcher for the Electrical Engineering Research Experience for Undergraduates at the University of New Orleans in 2011. Alvaro then moved on to become an Electrical Engineering Intern at ION Geophysical in 2012. That same year, they took on the roles of Team Lead and Software Developer for the Project Adonis-UNO IEEE Robotics Team. In 2013, they became a Hardware Engineer - Main Control Room for SystemOne/Westinghouse Electric Company. Alvaro then moved on to become a Senior Test Engineer at Eaton in 2015. In 2018, they became an Electrical Engineer at Deeplocal, and they are currently a Senior Hardware Engineer at Aspinity, Inc.

Alvaro Varela obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Electrical Engineering from the University of New Orleans between 2009 and 2013. Alvaro also obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Fine Arts from the University of New Orleans between 2002 and 2008.
