Maggie Owens

Maggie Owens has extensive work experience in various fields. Maggie started their career in 2006 as a General Education Teacher at Noblesville Schools, where they worked until 2015. Maggie then moved on to become the Manager of Community Outreach at the Humane Society for Hamilton County from 2015 to 2017. After that, they worked as a Philanthropy Officer at Riverview Health from 2017 to 2018. In 2019, they joined the Indiana Center for Prevention of Youth Abuse and Suicide, first as a Program Manager and then as the Director of Education and Community Relations until 2023. Currently, they work at Aspire Indiana Health as a Community Training Liaison for Mental Health Awareness Training.

Maggie Owens holds a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education and Teaching from Purdue University, which they obtained from 2001 to 2005. In 2008 to 2009, they pursued a Master's Degree in Education at Indiana Wesleyan University. Moreover, Maggie obtained a Post-Masters Certification in Social Emotional Learning from Northcentral University, though the specific duration of this certification is not provided. In terms of additional certifications, they acquired a Mental Health First Aid certification from the National Council for Mental Wellbeing in May 2023. Prior to that, in July 2021, Maggie obtained the Youth Mental Health First Aid Instructor certification from the same institution.
