Daniel Valdes, MS in Counseling, AMFT, PPS/CWA, has a diverse range of work experience spanning over two decades. Daniel began their career as a Community Youth Advisor for the City of Pasadena in 1999. Daniel then worked as a File Room Clerk at Linden Optometry from 2000 to 2002. Following that, they served as a Post Media Analysis Coordinator at TVpromo for a brief period in 2002.

In 2003, Daniel transitioned to Office Depot, where they worked as a Customer Service Sales Associate. Daniel excelled in providing exceptional in-store customer service and engaging with customers to meet their shopping needs. Daniel also handled merchandise-related activities.

In 2005, Daniel joined Best Buy as a Digital Imaging Specialist, responsible for carrying out various tasks related to digital imaging. Later, they became an Asset Protection Lead, leading and coaching store employees on strategies, regulatory standards, and behaviors that mitigate risk and liability to the store and company. Daniel performed audits, inspections, investigations, and research to ensure store safety, security, and profitability.

In 2010, Daniel worked as a Day Laborer Program Intern at CHIRLA, where they assisted with database management, logistics, and administration of community outreach campaigns. Subsequently, they joined Aspire Public Schools in 2013, initially as a Parent Coordinator, promoting parent involvement and addressing concerns and issues within the school community. Later, they became a Mental Health Therapist, providing a full range of school counseling services to K-12 students and collaborating with Student Support Teams to implement programs.

Daniel's most recent role is as the Lead SPED Mental Health Therapist for the Los Angeles Region at Aspire Public Schools, a position they began in July 2022. In this role, they utilize their expertise to provide mental health therapy to students with special education needs.

Daniel also holds an Associate of Arts (A.A.) degree in Liberal Arts and Sciences, General Studies and Humanities from Santa Monica College, which they obtained from 2003 to 2008.

In terms of additional certifications, Daniel has completed "Epinephrine Auto-Injectors in California Schools - Achieving and Maintaining Compliance" from K12 Health Training in 2017. Daniel also holds a Pupil Personnel Services Credential with Advanced Child Welfare & Attendance Credential from the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing, which they obtained in June 2018.
