Hector Hernandez

Hector Hernandez has a diverse work experience spanning over a decade. Hector started their career in 2006 as a Technology Coordinator for the Economic & Workforce Development Department - City of Los Angeles, where they worked until 2014. In 2007, they joined the Los Angeles Unified School District as an Information Systems Support Assistant and stayed there until 2012.

In 2011, Hector also worked as a Family Trainer for PowerMyLearning until 2013. Hector then joined LA Promise Fund in 2012 as the Director of Education Technology, where they stayed until 2016.

From 2016 onwards, Hector has been working at Aspire Public Schools. Hector started as the Technology Operations LA Regional Support Manager until 2020. From 2020 to 2022, they served as the Associate Regional IT Director. Currently, they hold the position of Director of Technology Operations, which they started in July 2022.

Hector Hernandez holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Information Systems from California State University, Los Angeles, which they obtained from 2015 to 2017. Prior to that, they earned an Associate of Arts degree in Behavioral Sciences from East Los Angeles College, completing their studies from 2007 to 2010. In addition to their formal education, Hector has obtained several certifications, including Certified Chief Technology Officer from CITE California IT in Education in December 2023, Learning Windows 10 Deployment with Microsoft Deployment Toolkit 2013 from Lynda.com in 2018, and CompTIA A+ certification from CompTIA.
