Shelly Button-Kollpainter has a diverse work experience in the healthcare industry. Shelly started their career as a Certified Nursing Assistant at Allegan General Hospital in 1983 and later became a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department/Med Center. Shelly also had a role as a Relief House Supervisor, where they coordinated and oversaw hospital personnel.

In 1997, Shelly joined Allegan County Medical Control, Inc. as a Nurse Representative. Shelly'sresponsibilities included assisting in the development of prehospital transport protocols and reviewing ambulance runs for quality and protocol compliance.

In 1997, Shelly returned to Allegan General Hospital as a Registered Nurse in the Cardiac Intensive Care Unit, where they coordinated care for complex cardiac patients. Shelly later transitioned to the role of Director of Cardiac ICU, overseeing an 8-bed Cardiac ICU and a 40-bed Cardiac Telemetry Unit. Shelly'sresponsibilities included recruitment and retention, performance reviews, professional development, budget formulation, and ensuring quality outcomes.

In 2014, Shelly joined Aspirus as the Interim Director of Cardiac ICU/Cardiac Rehab, where they led the planning and delivery of nursing care for these departments. Shelly then became the Director of Cardiac Nursing, responsible for the Cardiac ICU and Cardiac Telemetry Unit. Shelly'sduties included sustaining professional practice, enhancing patient care effectiveness and efficiency, and managing budget formulation and quality outcomes.

In 2017, Shelly was promoted to the position of Director of Acute Care at Aspirus, overseeing various departments including Med/Surg ICU, Cardiac ICU, Cardiac Telemetry, and Intermediate Med/Surg Care. Shelly'sresponsibilities included planning, implementing, and evaluating process improvements, monitoring budgets and resource allocation, ensuring continuous quality improvement, and managing recruitment, retention, and performance review of nursing staff.

Throughout their career, Shelly has demonstrated strong leadership skills, a focus on quality improvement, and a dedication to professional development in the healthcare field.

Shelly Button-Kollpainter has a Diploma of Nursing from the Bronson School of Nursing, obtained from 1984 to 1987. Shelly later pursued a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh, graduating between 2003 and 2006. Shelly furthered their education by earning a Masters of Business Administration degree in Business from the University of Phoenix, completing their studies from 2011 to 2013. In addition, they also hold a certification known as CCRN-K from the AACN (American Association of Critical-Care Nurses).
