John Archdeacon

John Archdeacon has extensive work experience in the software engineering and systems engineering fields. John started their career at Gemini Technology Corporation in 1982, where they co-founded the company and served as the Vice President. At Gemini, they developed GVS and OpenGVS software technology and implemented scene graph managers on various platforms.

In 1997, Archdeacon co-founded Quantum3D, Inc., where they served as the Co-Founder and Vice President. John played a crucial role in introducing PC-based image generator (IG) technology to the training and simulation industry. Archdeacon also served as the Principal System Architect for image generators like Heavy Metal, AAlchemy, and Independence.

From 2009 to 2013, Archdeacon worked as the Principal Software Engineer and Technical Lead at NASA Ames (Dell Federal), where they were responsible for system architecture and engineering tasks. John contributed to the design and implementation of advanced cockpit symbol sets and terrain and obstacle avoidance algorithms for U.S. Boeing 777 engineering simulator.

Since 2013, Archdeacon has been associated with ASRC Federal, where they have been working as a Senior Principal Engineer and Systems Engineering. John has been involved in software engineering design, integration, and flight testing for various NASA programs. Currently, they support the NASA Advanced Air Mobility (AAM) program, which focuses on the integration of electric vertical takeoff and landing (eVTOL) aircraft into FAA airspace.
