Dave Rees

Dave Rees is an experienced data management professional with a strong background in geoscience applications. Currently serving as Data Manager at Assala Energy since November 2019, Dave specializes in bottom-up M&A data management and geoscience application support. Previously, as the owner of Geoscience Applications Ltd from August 2008 to December 2020, Dave provided consultancy on well data and seismic data, and worked extensively with geological applications such as Petrel and Stratworks. Dave's notable past roles include Geotechnical Consultant at Tullow Oil, where leadership in data management was demonstrated during major oilfield re-determinations, and Senior System Engineer at SAIC at BP Sunbury, overseeing the installation and troubleshooting of petrotechnical applications. With a Bachelor of Applied Science in Geology from Oxford Brookes University and certification in ISO27001, Dave combines technical expertise with a solid educational foundation in the field.
