Jonathan do Rego

Jonathan DO REGO is a legal professional with extensive experience in the energy and environmental sectors. Currently serving as Legal Counsel at Assala Energy since October 2021, Jonathan previously held the position of Technical Assistant to the CFO at VAALCO Energy, Inc. from March 2020 to September 2021, focusing on legal matters. Earlier in their career, Jonathan gained valuable experience as a Legal Trainee and Project Assistant Manager at Brainforest, a leading environmental NGO in Gabon, where involvement included executing ecological projects and engaging with international partners. Jonathan holds a Master of Laws (LLM) in Energy & Natural Resources Law from the University of East London and a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) from Houdegbe North American University, Benin, along with various certifications in management, web design, and English language studies.
