Hemant Kumar (Mishra)

Hemant Kumar (Mishra) has extensive experience in data science and technology. Hemant is currently working as a Principal Data Scientist at Assembly, starting in April 2022. Prior to this, Hemant served as the Co-Founder & CEO of Agromojo Technology, a company they co-founded during their time as an Entrepreneur in Residence at Antler from July 2020 to October 2020. At Agromojo Technology, Hemant focused on leveraging AI, ML, IoT, and blockchain technologies to address hyperlocal digital supply chain challenges and improve yield in the fresh fruits and vegetable segments.

Before their entrepreneurial ventures, Hemant worked as a Data Scientist and Software Architect at IBM from May 2017 to June 2020. During their time at Samsung Electronics from April 2015 to March 2017, Hemant served as a Senior Data Scientist, specializing in deep learning for autonomous automotive and IoT-based geo-fencing and real-time personalized promotions.

Prior to that, Hemant had a significant role at IBM Research from September 2011 to March 2015. There, they worked as a Research Staff Software Engineer and Architect, focusing on integrating various sources of data for analytics use-cases, and also contributed to multiple initiatives in social media analytics, NLP, and text mining.

Hemant's earlier experiences include working as a Junior Research Associate at Infosys Labs from May 2010 to August 2011, where they developed predictive analytics workbench based on data mining and machine learning algorithms. Hemant also played a role as an Analyst Specialist in the Infosys HIMI group from February 2009 to April 2010, where they worked on predictive and prescriptive analytics.

Furthermore, Hemant has worked at Infosys Consulting as an Analyst in the Knowledge Services- Analytics Unit from August 2007 to January 2009, focusing on keywords-based search and display ad pricing analytics.

In 2006, Hemant explored their entrepreneurial interests by serving as a Technical Evangelist and Entrepreneur for a startup. Hemant worked on web-based student email service, e-learning system development, and cloud-based educational docket services.

Finally, Hemant began their career as a Young Scientist at Forschungszentrum Jülich in Germany from October 2005 to May 2006, specializing in supercomputing and high-performance computing.
