Kim Schwendt

Kim Schwendt is currently serving as a CMC Project Manager at CureVac since May 2023. Prior to this role, Kim worked as a Medical Advisor at GSK from November 2022 to April 2023, focusing on the regional medical advisory duties within the Impfakademie. Kim has extensive experience at CureVac, having held positions such as Senior Research Scientist and Lab Manager for Infectious Diseases from March 2014 to October 2022, where management responsibilities included overseeing a team of technicians. Earlier career involvement included roles as a Postdoctoral Fellow and Research Associate at the Institute of Microbiology, Immunology and Parasitology at the University Hospital Bonn from February 2007 to March 2014. Kim holds a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Infection Biology from the University of Bonn, achieved between 2007 and 2011, and a Diplom in General Biology from the same institution, completed in 2007. Additionally, Kim engaged in educational experiences at The Australian National University in 2004.
