Luke Moir, M.Eng., P.Eng. has extensive experience in engineering, water resources, and crop systems. In 2022, they began working as an Assistant Project Manager in Construction for R-Hauz. From 2018 to 2022, they worked as an Engineer for JRS Engineering, providing building science advice to clients to construct energy efficient and resilient buildings. Luke also worked with modular construction companies to solve problems. From 2017 to 2018, they completed their Masters of Engineering in Building Science at the British Columbia Institute of Technology, with a thesis exploring the insulation effect of a rooftop greenhouse on the host building. From 2015 to 2017, they worked as a Water Resources EIT for Land Development Solutions, designing stormwater management systems and writing Preliminary and Functional Stormwater Management Reports. From 2014 to 2015, they were a Water Resource Specialist for Golder Associates, working extensively in the field and using traditional equipment to survey smaller streams and SonTek River Surveyor to survey larger bodies of water. From 2013 to 2014, they were an Engineering Assistant for CF Crozier and Associates, designing Stormwater Management Facilities and writing Opinion of Probable Costs for early phases of projects. In 2012, they worked as a Crop Systems Research Assistant for the University of Guelph Plant Agriculture, assisting graduate students with their research projects and collecting and managing crop samples.
Luke Moir holds a Master of Engineering (MEng) degree from the British Columbia Institute of Technology, which they obtained in 2019. Luke studied Building Science for their MEng. Luke also holds a Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng.) degree from the University of Guelph, which they obtained in 2015. Luke studied Water Resources Engineering for their B.Eng.
