Amila Nawarathne

Amila Nawarathne has held various roles in the IT industry since 2009. Amila began their career as a Trainee Network Administrator at Mobitel (Pvt) Ltd in 2009. Amila then moved to Assette in the same year, where they held the roles of Lead - Security, Consultant at Assette, TeamLead - Infrastructure, Senior Infrastructure Engineer, and Infrastructure Engineer. In 2021, they joined Sampath Information Technology Solution Ltd. (A fully owned subsidiary of Sampath Bank PLC) as a Senior System Engineer.

Amila Nawarathne has a Master of Science in Information Security from the University of Colombo, obtained between 2012 and 2015, with a field of study in Computer and Information Systems Security/Information Assurance. Amila also has a Bachelor of Computer Science from the University of Colombo, obtained between 2006 and 2009, with a field of study in Computer Science. Additionally, they have obtained five professional certifications from Kaspersky, ManageEngine, and Fortinet between 2021 and 2022.
