Akshat Sharma

Akshat Sharma is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in the industrial IoT sector. Currently serving as the Director of Hardware at AssetWorks Inc since June 2025, Akshat leads the growth strategy for IIoT hardware solutions, including EV fueling and sensor-based asset management. Prior to this role, Akshat was the Monitoring & Controls Manager at ITT Inc, driving innovation in AI-enabled IoT technologies from December 2019 to June 2025. Akshat also held various engineering roles at Flowserve Corporation from February 2008 to 2019, where responsibilities included overseeing R&D initiatives and managing engineering teams for IoT-enabled systems. Earlier career experience includes project execution in water measurement systems at Sutron Corporation. Akshat holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology and an International Baccalaureate from the International School of Kenya.
