Amie Warkentin

Amie Warkentin, PMP has a diverse work experience spanning multiple roles and industries. Starting in 2006, they worked as the Youth Marketing Coordinator (Intern) at Bell MTS and later as Group Lead & Trainer at Skybridge Marketing Group. In 2007, they became the Executive Assistant to a City Councillor at the City of Winnipeg, a role they held until 2011. Amie then joined the University of Manitoba as the Executive Assistant to the Vice President External.

In 2012, Amie moved into the credit union sector, joining North Peace Savings & Credit Union as an Internal Communications Specialist and later as the Internal Communications & Change Strategy Manager. In 2016, they transitioned to Credit Union Central of Manitoba, where they held various roles, including Senior Strategy & Advocacy Analyst, Manager of Strategy & Projects, Director of Strategy & Projects, and finally Director of Strategic Communications & Projects.

Their most recent position, starting in 2023, is as the Director of Corporate Governance at Assiniboine Credit Union. Throughout their career, Amie has demonstrated expertise in strategic communications, project management, and corporate governance.

Amie Warkentin, PMP is currently pursuing an Executive Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from the University of Fredericton. Amie has also completed an Advanced Program in Management, Leadership and Strategy from the University of Manitoba. Amie has further enhanced their education by completing the Execution Program - Executive Education Division from the Smith School of Business at Queen's University. Amie holds a Masters Certificate in Project Management from the University of Northern British Columbia (UNBC) with a specialization in Project Management. Amie's undergraduate education includes a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree from The University of Winnipeg, where they were a student of the Faculty of Business and Economics.

In addition to their academic achievements, Amie Warkentin has obtained various certifications. Amie is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) from the Project Management Institute, which they acquired in November 2014. Furthermore, Amie holds a Prosci Certification in Change Management from AdPro and the Change Management Learning Centre, which they obtained in July 2012.
