Jacqueline Pearce

Jacqueline Pearce is a highly experienced veterinary ophthalmologist currently serving as a Staff Ophthalmologist at VCA Canada since July 2017. Prior to this role, Jacqueline worked as a Staff Veterinary Ophthalmologist at Animal Eye Consultants from December 2013 to May 2017, focusing on the clinical examination and treatment of small animal patients. An Assistant Teaching Professor at the University of Missouri-Columbia from July 2007 to May 2017, Jacqueline contributed to education while also competing as a part-time professional triathlete with Ironman Triathlon between 2012 and 2013. Jacqueline's early research during a residency in Comparative Ophthalmology at the University of Missouri involved studies on inflammation and vascularization in lung and ocular tissues. Jacqueline completed an internship in Small Animal Medicine and Surgery at Purdue University in 2004 and holds a DVM in Veterinary Medicine from the University of Saskatchewan, along with an MSc in Veterinary Biomedical Sciences from the University of Missouri-Columbia and a BSc in Biological Sciences from the University of Calgary.
