Sergio Becerra

Sergio Becerra is a seasoned legal professional with extensive experience in intellectual property and corporate law. Currently serving as Corporate Counsel, IP at Associated British Foods plc, Sergio provides strategic guidance to North American companies on intellectual property matters to foster innovation and manage patent portfolios. Prior to this role, Sergio was the Director, Corporate Counsel at Nintex, where responsibilities included collaborating on initiatives concerning generative AI, product development, data privacy, and cybersecurity, and supporting global teams in legal matters. Sergio's earlier experience includes serving as a Commercial and IP Litigation Attorney at Newman | Du Wors, representing clients in federal court and handling commercial disputes, as well as roles at Hankin Patent Law and various other legal and underwriting positions. Sergio holds a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from Northern Illinois University and a law degree from Pepperdine Law.
