Russell Matthews

Russell Matthews is an experienced maritime professional with a diverse background in marine operations and training. Currently serving as a Marine Pilot at Associated British Ports in the Port of Southampton since June 2018, Russell has previously held significant positions including Fleet Training Captain and Master at Swire Pacific Offshore, and Marine Pilot at Aberdeen Harbour Board. Russell's career includes notable roles in the Royal Fleet Auxiliary as First Officer and Flag Lieutenant to the Second Sea Lord during tenure with the Royal Navy. Educated at Warsash Maritime Academy with a Master Mariner degree, Russell also completed the ICSC(M) at Joint Services Command and Staff College.
