Betsy Hutula

COO & VP for Administration at Associated Colleges of the Midwest

Betsy joined ACM in 2004 and currently serves as the Chief Operating Officer and Vice President for Administration, working closely with ACM’s President. She oversees human resources, off-campus study, administration and operations, works closely with the ACM Board of Directors and Advisory Board of Deans, administers consortial programs, and is the liaison for many consortial administrative groups.

Besides the off-campus study portfolio, she manages the ACM Athletic Tournaments and the Tuition Remission Exchange Program (TREP). She serves as the ACM liaison for consortial membership with the Inter-university Consortium for Political and Social Research (ICPSR). Betsy is also the contact for the ACM staff and faculty development fund which helps ACM groups meet on campus, at a regional or national meeting, or at the ACM office.

Betsy has served ACM in prior positions of Program Associate (Central European Studies, India, Japan, Newberry Seminar, and Urban Studies); Coordinator of Projects & Administration; Assistant to the President and Administrator of Projects and Pesonnel; Assistant to the President and Director of Human Resources and Administrative Leadership Initiatives; and Chief of Staff. She was also the contact on several past grant projects, including the ACM-Mellon Post-doctoral Fellowships, Faculty Career Enhancement (FaCE) Project, and ACM-Teagle Collegium on Student Learning. She is a graduate of Albion College with a B.A. in art history and political science and a concentration in public policy and service.
