Tiaan Herbst

Tiaan Herbst is a skilled System Engineer currently employed at AES ® Associated Energy Services (Pty) Ltd. since November 2022 and serves as Founder & Lead Developer at HIOTA (Pty) Ltd. since February 2020. Previous experience includes roles as Automation Project Engineer and Automation Engineer at Bühler Group (July 2018 - October 2022), focusing on PLC plant control development and commissioning of plant control systems. Earlier positions involved research and development and instrumentation at Ronin System Solutions (July 2015 - June 2018), as well as a Process Control & Instrumentation apprenticeship at Sasol (June 2012 - June 2015). Tiaan also has technical experience from PepsiCo and initial roles in sales and IT support at Sanlic House of Locks. Tiaan is pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Computing at the University of South Africa and has earned multiple qualifications in Electronic Engineering and Instrumentation.
