Janna Hindman has extensive experience in community planning and development. Janna worked at The Associated: Jewish Community Federation of Baltimore from 2013 to the present, initially as an Intern in Community Planning & Allocation, then as a Program Manager for the Center for Jewish Camping, and currently serves as the Director of Community Planning. Prior to that, they were a Senior Planning Associate at the same organization. In 2011, Janna worked as a Graduate Intern at Jewish Community Services. Before that, they had roles as a Kadima Advisor at Beth Israel Congregation and as the Founder & Chair of the Annual Michelle Offsie Memorial Walk to Cure Breast Cancer at City of Hope. Janna also had internships in the marketing department at Towson University and in the Campaign Department at Jewish National Fund. Additionally, they interned at The Arc of Baltimore in their Towson Employment Center.
Janna Hindman attended Towson University from 2007 to 2011, where they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Family Studies and Community Development. From 2011 to 2013, they simultaneously attended the Baltimore Hebrew Institute and the University of Maryland School of Social Work. At the University of Maryland, they obtained a Master of Social Work (MSW) degree with a concentration in Management and Community Organization. Janna completed their studies in Jewish Communal Service at the Baltimore Hebrew Institute during the same period.
