Matthew Lamantia

Matthew LaMantia serves as the Regional Director for the Office of Community Planning and Development at the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, a position held since February 2021, having previously acted as Director of the Columbus Field Office. Prior to this, Matthew was involved with the Council of State Community Development Agencies as a member of the Board of Directors from October 2017 to January 2021, and contributed significantly to the Ohio Department of Development from January 2009 to January 2021 in various roles, including Deputy Chief and Data Management & Evaluation Manager. Matthew has also held positions at the Mid-Ohio Regional Planning Commission, FirstEnergy, DaimlerChrysler Financial Services, and IBM Global Services, focusing on software development and project management. Academically, Matthew holds a Master’s Degree in City/Urban, Community and Regional Planning from The Ohio State University and a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration with a focus on Information Systems from the University of Mount Union.
