Barry Bedlan

Barry Bedlan has a diverse and extensive work experience in the media industry. Barry started their career as a Newsroom Assistant at the Omaha World-Herald in 1992. Barry then worked as a General Assignment Reporter/Copy Editor at The Star-Herald, Inc. from 1993 to 1995. Barry also served as an Omaha newsman and Omaha news editor at the same company from 1995 to 1999.

From 2000 to 2003, they worked as an Adviser for The Creightonian at Creighton University. Later, Barry joined The Associated Press, where they held various roles such as Atlanta news editor, Assistant Chief of Bureau in Dallas, Interim Bureau Chief for Nebraska & South Dakota, Deputy Director of Sports Products, and Director of Sports Products. In 2019, they became the Director of Vertical Products, and in 2021, they assumed the position of Global Director of Text and New Markets Products in the same company.

Barry Bedlan attended Creighton University from 1990 to 1993 but did not pursue a specific degree or field of study.
