Teresa de Miguel

Teresa de Miguel has a diverse work experience in the media industry. Teresa is currently the Head of Video at AP Climate and Environment for The Associated Press since 2022. Prior to that, they worked as a Visual Journalist for El Pais Newspaper from 2018 to 2022. Teresa also has experience as a Freelancer for AJ+ and Pear Video, where they worked as a video journalist and wrote features for Aire Magazine. Teresa worked for The Associated Press previously as a Senior Producer in Mexico and Central America, where they planned, produced, and filmed videos, covering significant regional events. Teresa was also a Video Journalist for the same company, covering stories such as the arrest and recapture of drug lord "El Chapo" Guzman and the mass disappearance of 43 students in Guerrero. Teresa has experience as the New York Correspondent at EFE News Agency from 2010 to 2013, where they covered finance and stock exchange and interviewed notable figures. Additionally, Teresa worked as a fixer for the BBC correspondent in Madrid and as a news writing intern for ABC newspaper. Teresa started their career as an intern at MediaPro Production company.

Teresa de Miguel attended Universidad Complutense de Madrid from 2004 to 2010, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism. In 2006 to 2007, they participated in an academic exchange program at Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México, focusing on Journalism. In 2008 to 2009, they pursued Professional Certificates in International Relations and Journalism at New York University. Additionally, in 2012, they attended a seminar at Columbia University titled "Follow the money: Business Reporting".
