Joel Franz

Joel Franz is currently the Fiscal Affairs Committee Chair for the Associated Student Government at Emporia State University, where leadership involves managing over $4.37 million in student fees. In addition, Joel serves as a student senator representing the School of Business. As President of Sigma Tau Gamma Fraternity, Joel has developed significant leadership and management skills. Experiences also include roles such as Co-Chairman of the Board of Director Nominations Committee, member of the Tuition and Fees Committee, and various positions in the financial sector, including internships at Emporia State Federal Credit Union and Meritrust Credit Union. Joel is pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and Finance at Emporia State University.

Associated Student Government at Emporia State University

The purpose of Emporia State University's Associated Student Government is to provide the means whereby the members of the student body may express themselves effectively through programs in areas which directly affect the general welfare of the student body in any aspect of the university experience in which they choose to participate. ASG establishes equitable representation and participation for the students in the governance of the university community and promotes mutually beneficial cooperation among students, faculty, staff, and administration in furthering the purposes for which the university was founded.
