Michel Derdevet

Graduate of the Faculty of Law of Montpellier 1 and Graduate of HEC. Michel Derdevet is, since January 2013, Secretary-General of ENEDIS.

Since 2000, he was Director of Communication and Public Affairs of RTE (Electricity Transport Network). He previously held several positions of responsibility in ministerial cabinets, with Martin Malvy (Energy, then relations with Parliament and Budget) and Christian Pierret (Industry), but spent most of his career at EDF.

Lecturer at the Institut d'Etudes Politiques in Paris (where he is responsible for the “Europe and Enterprise” course), he teaches at the College of Europe in Bruges. He is the author of several well-known publications on energy, including “Electrical networks at the heart of industrial civilization” (Timée – 2007), “Europe out of energy, the plea for a real common energy policy” (Descartes – May 2009), and “The energy future, cards on the table” (Gallimard – February 2012).
