Mya Hoist

Mya Hoist is currently serving as a Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Assistant at the Association for Computing Machinery since November 2023. Previous experience includes an internship at Black Public Media from May 2023 to July 2023 and various roles at New York University, including Office Assistant at Second Street Dorm, where Mya efficiently managed package processing and resident inquiries from September 2022 to May 2023, and Public Health Ambassador addressing COVID-19 safety guidelines from February 2022 to May 2022. Mya also interned at Shine Global Inc as a Film Awards Intern, managing documentation and travel itineraries from May 2022 to August 2022, and worked as a Retail Sales Assistant at Banana Republic from October 2019 to February 2021, as well as a Crew Member at AMC Theatres from February 2019 to July 2019. Mya holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Applied Psychology from the NYU Steinhardt School, obtained in May 2023, following attendance at John P. Stevens High School from 2017 to 2019.
