Richard Culatta

Richard Culatta is a prominent leader in the field of education and technology, currently serving as the CEO of ASCD since January 2023 and the CEO of ISTE since May 2017. Culatta also chairs the Digital Citizenship Coalition, focusing on fostering a healthy digital culture, and holds a board member position at College Unbound. Culatta's extensive experience includes roles as the Chief Innovation Officer for the State of Rhode Island, where efforts concentrated on connecting government and private sector innovations, and as a Senior Advisor at the U.S. Department of Education, where national educational technology policies were established. Culatta's educational background includes a Master's degree in Educational Psychology and Technology from Brigham Young University and involvement in design and technology initiatives throughout a diverse career dedicated to transforming education through innovation.
