Eric Jones, MD, currently serves as Co-Chair of the Membership Subcommittee at the American Society of Regional Anesthesia and Pain Medicine and holds multiple leadership roles within the Association of Academic Physiatrists, including Vice Chair of the Resident/Fellow Council and a member of the Social Media Subcommittee. Active in the EASTERN PAIN ASSOCIATION INC and the World Academy of Pain Medicine United as a Resident Leader and Resident Ambassador respectively, Eric is also a Resident Physician in the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. Prior experience includes a residency at UT Southwestern Medical Center, board membership with the Parkinson's Association of Northern California, and leadership positions within the Medical Student Council of the Association of Academic Physiatrists. Eric's educational background includes a Doctor of Medicine from California Northstate University College of Medicine and a Bachelor of Science in Neurobiology, Physiology, and Behavior from the University of California, Davis.

The Association of Academic Physiatrists (AAP) is an organization of PM&R professionals who are dedicated to improving patient care by advancing the specialty of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R) through research and education. The AAP's 2,841 members (and growing!) include department chairs, program directors, residents and fellows, early career physicians, professors, researchers, medical students, administrative directors, program coordinators and others involved in academic physiatry. The AAP has an official journal (the American Journal of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation), hosts an Annual Meeting, and offers programs and activities that support and enhance academic physiatry.
