Mike Fairbourn currently serves as the Vice President and General Manager for the UK & Ireland at BD, a position held since May 2015, during which effective integration of CareFusion and Bard into BD has been successfully led, alongside strategies for profitable growth. Additionally, Fairbourn is a Board Member at ABHI, where leadership of the Patient Safety Special Interest Group focuses on influencing government and health policy related to patient safety. Prior roles include Vice President for CareFusion in the UK & Ireland, where oversight of capital equipment and disposables was maintained, and leaderships at Cardinal Health, Chiron Biopharmaceuticals, In2Focus SDS, Abbott Laboratories, and GlaxoSmithKline. Fairbourn holds a BSc(Hons) in Physiology & Biochemistry from the University of Reading.
