Philippa Handyside is a highly regarded executive in the legal and insurance sector, boasting 30 years of experience. Currently serving as Director and General Counsel at The ABI since May 2012, Philippa collaborates with a senior board of CEOs to define strategy and develop business planning. Prior to this role, Philippa was General Counsel at Pinsent Masons from 1996 to 2012, where responsibilities included providing regulatory advice and handling professional negligence litigation. Philippa's career began as an Assistant Solicitor at Kennedys and as a Barrister at 1 Paper Buildings, where the focus was on professional indemnity and personal injury litigation. Philippa holds a Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of Bristol and has completed a legal conversion course and Bar Finals at esteemed institutions.
