David Brown

David Brown has extensive experience in the education sector. David served as the Executive Director of the Accrediting Commission for Schools, Western Association of Schools and Colleges from 2002 to 2014. Prior to that, they held the position of Superintendent at Napa Valley Unified School District, Irvine Unified School District, and San Marino Unified School District. From 2016 onwards, they have been the Executive Director of the National Association of School Superintendents. In 2017, they also worked as a Consultant at Education Solutions Services. Additionally, they had a role as Interim Executive Director at the Association of California School Administrators.

David Brown obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in German Language and Literature from Occidental College, University of Southern California, where they studied from 1959 to 1970. David further pursued their education at the University of Southern California, earning a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in German Language and Literature from 1966 to 1976.
