John Gill, CFE has a diverse work experience spanning several years. John began their career in 1987 at Dun & Bradstreet as a Customer Service Representative. In 1989, they joined Bragg, Chumlea, McQuality, Smithers & Curry, P.C. as an Associate Attorney. In 1995, they joined the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE) as General Counsel, where they served until 2004. After that, they held the position of Vice President - Education at ACFE from 2004 to 2022. In 2022, they became the Chief Training Officer until their appointment as President in 2023.

John Gill, CFE, obtained a J.D. degree in Law from The University of Texas School of Law from 1988 to 1990. Prior to that, they earned a B.A. degree in English from the University of Arkansas from 1984 to 1986. In addition to their academic achievements, they hold certifications as a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) from the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE), which they obtained in 1999, and as an Attorney and Counselor at Law from the State Bar of Texas in 1991.
