Howard Spear

Howard Spear is an experienced education and quality assurance consultant with a career spanning several decades. Currently serving as Principal Consultant for Independent Consultant in Quality Assurance and enhancement since November 2013, and as Education Consultant for the Association of Colleges since July 2014, Howard specializes in peer review and development related to governance in the further education sector. Previous roles include serving as Peer Review and Development Adviser at the Learning and Skills Improvement Service, Academic Registrar & Standards Manager at Somerset College of Arts & Technology, and Assistant Principal overseeing various educational services. Howard's educational background includes a BSc (Hons) in Biological Sciences from the University of Plymouth, an MSc in Comparative Animal Physiology from Birkbeck, University of London, and multiple advanced management qualifications from FEDA/University of Leicester.
