Jo Manchester currently serves as the Head of People and Culture at the Association of Independent Schools of NSW since May 2024. Previously, Jo held multiple key HR leadership roles at InvoCare, including Head of Employee Experience, where the focus was on enhancing the employee value proposition, and as Head of HR Business Partnering, leading a team of six business partners. Prior experience includes serving as Senior Human Resources Manager ANZ at Study Group, supporting six College Executive Directors, and a significant tenure at Avant Mutual, culminating in the role of Head of People Partnering and Organisation Development. Jo has been instrumental in HR strategy development, leadership coaching, and various transformation projects that delivered substantial cost savings and recognition for employee engagement initiatives. Jo holds a Bachelor of Social Work from UNSW and a Graduate Diploma of Communication Management from the University of Technology Sydney.

AISNSW is the peak body representing independent schools in New South Wales. Education services to member schools include advice and assistance in employment relations, child protection, compliance and school governance, reviews and audits of a variety of school functions, professional development and educational consultancy services on curriculum, pedagogy and school leadership. AISNSW also advocates for and represents the needs of independent schools to both NSW and Australian Governments.
