Malachi Messette is an experienced communications professional currently serving as a Communications Assistant for the Association of Police and Crime Commissioners since August 2023. Previously, Malachi held the role of Communications and Public Affairs Intern at the same organization, and has been an Ambassador for the Holocaust Educational Trust since November 2019, where notable speaking engagements included addressing the Treasury in February 2020. Malachi served as Treasurer and Secretary for the Warwick History Society from March 2022 to March 2023 and gained valuable administrative experience as a Summer Intern at Portland in July 2019. The Association of Police and Crime Commissioners (APCC) is a company limited by guarantee. The APCC services are overseen and directed by the Chairman and Board of Directors. The APCC offers the following services to PCCs: - Information on national policing policy issues and legislation. - Consults PCCs to enable them to develop policy positions and to influence change. - Facilitates the leadership of PCCs on national governance structures such as the College of Policing, National Crime Agency and Police Professional Bodies. - Assists PCCs in collaborating to share practice, procure services, and identify ways to achieve efficiencies through working together.
