Tim Leshan

Tim Leshan serves as the Chief External Relations & Advocacy Officer at the Association of Schools and Programs of Public Health (ASPPH), where responsibilities include overseeing marketing, communications, and government relations, and implementing strategic plans for advocacy and development initiatives. Previously, Tim held prominent positions such as Vice Provost for Research Government Affairs & Strategic Partnerships and Vice President for Government Relations at Northeastern University, and Director of Government Relations & Community Affairs at Brown University. With experience in legislative affairs at the National Human Genome Research Institute and the American Society for Cell Biology, as well as foundational roles at Harvard University and Duke University, Tim brings extensive expertise in public policy, government relations, and community engagement. Tim holds an MPA from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a BA in English/History from Vassar College.
