Association Reserves
Paul Shoemaker is an experienced project manager currently employed at Association Reserves since February 2022. Prior to this role, Paul served as a community manager at Associa and Sentry Management Inc. for a combined three years. Earlier in their career, Paul held the position of Business Development Manager at ETS Payroll, where responsibilities included building and maintaining a network of small to medium-sized businesses. Paul gained analytical experience as a Business Analyst Intern at JCPenney, focusing on merchandise management across the company's extensive store network. Paul holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance and Information Systems from the University of Arkansas, obtained in 2014.
Association Reserves
A Reserve Study is the art and science of anticipating, and preparing for, major common area repair and replacement expenses. A Reserve Study allows the Board and Management to offset the ongoing deterioration of the common areas with Funds to ensure the timely repair or replacement of those common areas. When properly done, irregular Reserve expenses are offset by ongoing, regular Reserve contributions. Special assessments are then left for true emergencies, not expenses which could have been anticipated.
