Melanie McCallum

Melanie McCallum has a diverse and extensive work experience in the insurance and financial industry. Melanie is currently serving as the Director of Business Development at Assomption Vie l Assumption Life, a position they have held since 2023. Prior to this, they worked at Canada Protection Plan as the Regional Vice President for Ontario from 2018 to 2023 and as the Regional Sales Director for Southwestern Ontario from 2015 to 2018.

Before their time at Canada Protection Plan, Melanie worked at Empire Life where they held the role of Account Executive in Investment Distribution from 2011 to 2015. Prior to that, they worked as an Inside Sales Associate at Empire Life from 2006 to 2011, where they played a key role in increasing sales through proactive outbound telephone sales and providing sales support and service.

Their career in the industry began at RBC Insurance where they worked as a Sales Associate from 1999 to 2006.

Melanie McCallum attended Georgian College from 1987 to 1989, where they studied Law and Security. In addition to their degree, they have obtained certifications such as "Confronting Bias: Thriving Across Our Differences" and "Skills for Inclusive Conversations" from LinkedIn, with completion dates in 2023.
