Thomas Nel

Thomas Nel is an experienced IT professional with a strong focus on Enterprise Architecture and IT strategy. Currently serving as Executive: IT DevOps at Assupol Life, Thomas is responsible for translating IT strategy into actionable goals and cascading the Strategic Plan into operational plans. Previously, Thomas held roles such as Acting Head of IT and Enterprise Architect at Assupol Holdings Limited, where responsibilities included establishing EA capabilities, managing technology and information systems strategies, and reviewing business strategic initiatives. Thomas has a diverse background with experience in various organizations, including Knotion Consulting, the Council for Scientific and Industrial Research, and the South African Reserve Bank, where skills in architecture, business consulting, and project management were employed. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Engineering and an Honours of Engineering in Systems Engineering from the University of Pretoria.
