Mark Lam

From 1998 to 2012, Mark Lam worked at Flexible Benefit Service Corporation as a Flex Plans Relationship Manager, where they managed strategic relationships and ensured compliance with IRS, HIPAA, and other regulations. Since 2012, they have been working at Assurance, a Marsh & McLennan Agency LLC company, starting as Vice President, Compliance and later promoted to Senior Vice President, Compliance. In this role, Mark leads the Risk Service Compliance department and assists clients in employee benefit compliance, addressing questions related to ACA, COBRA, HIPAA, ERISA, and the tax code.

Mark Lam earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Construction Management from Colorado State University, where they studied from 1989 to 1993. In addition, Mark obtained two certifications: one as a COBRA Administrative Specialist from the Employer's Council on Flexible Compensation in 2011, and another as a Certified in Flexible Compensation Instruction from the same institution in 2004.
